Bright morning at the wobbly pond.

Ducky the duckling loved to splash.

He paddled his orange feet.

Ducky: “Splash! Splash! Fun!”

Ducky looked up at the sky.

Ducky: “Big, fluffy clouds!”

A tiny white cloud drifted near.

Ducky: “Hello, fluffy cloud!”

Puffy: “Puff! Puff! Hello!”

Ducky: “Come down and play!”

Puffy: “Too high up!”

Ducky stretched his neck.

Ducky waddled to a tall reed.

Ducky: “I will jump up!”

He jumped! Splat! Into the pond.

Puffy: “Hee hee! Funny jump!”

Ducky: “Hmm, wrong idea.”

Ducky spotted a big, bouncy lily pad.

Ducky: “This will reach!”

Ducky bounced with all his might.

Ducky: “Boing! Boing! Not quite!”

Puffy: “Still too low!”

Ducky: “Oh, dear me!”

Puffy giggled, floating lower.

Ducky: “Wait! You're coming down!”

Puffy: “I can float lower!”

Puffy floated just above the pond.

Ducky: “Hooray! So close!”

Ducky splashed water onto Puffy.

The sun began to set.

Ducky snuggled in his nest, dreaming of clouds.
