In a sunny jungle clearing, little Elwood lived peacefully with his Mama Ellie.

He loved to sway his trunk and nibble on big, juicy leaves.

Mama Ellie: “Yummy snack, my dear.”

Elwood would flap his large, soft ears, feeling very content.

The days were filled with warm sunshine and the quiet sounds of the forest.

Their home was a cozy spot, nestled among ancient, leafy trees.

One playful afternoon, after taking a big drink of cool water, Elwood felt a peculiar little jiggle deep inside him.

Elwood: “Hic!”

A sudden, bouncy hiccup popped out loudly, startling the happy little elephant, then another!

Elwood: “Hic! Oh my goodness!”

Mama Ellie: “What's wrong, sweet one?”

Elwood: “Hic! They won't stop!”

Mama Ellie thoughtfully tapped her chin with her long, wise trunk, considering.

Mama Ellie: “Drink slowly, little love.”

Elwood carefully dipped his trunk into a cool, clear pool, taking very small, deliberate sips.

Elwood: “Hic! Still wobbling!”

The tiny, echoing hiccups just kept coming and coming, one after another.

Mama Ellie gently swayed her big body from side to side, inviting Elwood to join the soft movement.

Mama Ellie: “Dance a slow, soft dance.”

Elwood swayed his hips from side to side, flapping his ears, feeling a little bit silly.

Elwood: “Hic! Still dancing!”

They quietly wandered to a tranquil riverbank, where silent water lilies floated peacefully.

Mama Ellie: “Take a deep breath.”

Elwood took a huge, slow breath, puffing out his cheeks, and held it carefully.

He held his breath for a moment, then let it out with a long, soft exhale.

Elwood: “No more hiccup?”

Mama Ellie: “They are all gone!”

The last hiccup had finally vanished, leaving a wonderful quietness.

Elwood: “Yay! No more hiccups!”

As twilight settled, they returned to their cozy jungle home under twinkling stars.

Elwood snuggled warmly against Mama Ellie, drifting into peaceful, quiet dreams.
