A sunny morning warmed a vibrant garden.

Pip: “What a lovely day!”

Pip, a happy little ladybug, loved her bright red shell.

The next morning, cool dew drops glistened on every leaf.

Pip bravely flew to a tall, green leaf, looking sad.

She saw Barnaby Bee buzzing happily nearby.

Barnaby: “Hello, Pip! What's wrong?”

Pip: “Lost my pretty dots!”

Barnaby: “Let's look together!”

Pip: “Where should we search first?”

They flew over sweet-smelling purple flowers.

Pip: “Are they near the roses?”

Barnaby: “I will check this bloom.”

Pip: “I will look under this leaf.”

Barnaby: “Where could they be?”

Pip looked up, up, up at the sky.

There, on a high sunflower leaf, her dots twinkled brightly!

Pip: “My dots! They are right here!”

Barnaby: “Hooray, Pip's spots!”

Pip: “Goodnight, pretty dots!”

She snuggled on her leaf, dreaming of sunny garden days and safe spots.
